Royal State Apartments

The Royal Parade Rooms were first used in September 1719 on the occasion of the wedding of Electoral Prince Friedrich August with the Austrian imperial daughter and Archduchess Maria Josepha. In this sequence of rooms, the Saxon-Polish Elector and King displayed his dignity, power, and claim to rank in the European hierarchy of rule.
